The omniWhere application always calculates and estimates the quality of every position computed. The quality metric is represented as a number between 0 (completely unknown) and 1 (certain). The position quality trace is includes in the network quality chart which is part of the Node Sensor Chart. The quality is also converted into error ellipse metrics which can be plotted on the 2D Position Chart.

Both the Position Quality metric and 2D error ellipse values are made available to applications accessing the output of the whereBox using the application API.

The Position Qualities chart illustrated on the right shows a time trace of the position quality for all devices on the chosen device list.
